Forces on the Fairways believes that golf can be healing for Veterans in body, mind, and spirit, and offers The Forces on the Fairways Veterans Golf League as a vehicle to join with other Veterans in a challenging and fun activity. Recognizing that some Veterans would like to join, but may not have the experience or expertise, we are pleased to once again partner with PGA HOPE to offer a 6 week clinic geared toward the beginning golfer. The basics of how to hold a club, to putting, chipping, and how to swing the irons and driver will be covered. We welcome Veterans with prosthetics or use adaptive equipment to participate as well. In an effort to provide an opportunity for both retired and working Veterans, we are planning on offering both a morning and early evening session if we get enough people for each session.

In past years, we have invited people who have attended past clinics to participate. However, in order to give more beginners a chance to participate, we are limiting participation to those who have not previously taken part in one of our clinics. However, we recognize that there is a need for further instruction for many people. We are therefore planning a summer session for intermediate golfers. One of the requirements for that class will be that they previously attended one of our beginner clinics. We will let you know when that class is available.
